A Practical Guide to Performance Improvement in Precision Rifle Shooting

Most shooters don’t struggle because they lack ability.
They struggle because they don’t know whether they’re improving — or why match performance doesn’t always reflect how training feels.
This guide isn’t about fundamentals, gear, or theory. It’s about turning practice into reliable match performance by focusing on consistency, interpretation, realism, and trust.

Riflematch Training Mode and Progress Tracking

You can use Training Mode in Riflematch to both time your training stages in the same way you can use it while ROing a match. With AI-supported shot detection amnd the possibility to log hits/misses you can follow up you stages in detail. You can also set stages you do often, like the skillstage, and use your logged data to follow up progress over time. In this article we will cover the basics of both features.

2026 Easter Pow Wow – Centerfire

Söndagen den 5e april kör vi en centerfire-PRS tävling utanför Kristianstad. Tävlingen går över ca. 9 stationer och en total på ca. 100 skott. Avstånden kommer att variera mellan 200 och 600m.

Sunday the 5th of April we are running a centerfire-PRS competition outside Kristianstad. The competition will be 9 stages and roughly 100 shots. Distances will vary between 200 and 600m.

2026 Easter Pow Wow – Rimfire

English version in post.

The Suck Less Algorithm, part 3

Getting better at PRS isn’t accidental. The Suck Less Algorithm is a continuous improvement loop built from experience: expose weaknesses, train with intent, measure outcomes, adapt, analyze mistakes, embrace feedback, and repeat—raising standards every cycle. Run the loop. Stop guessing. Start improving.

The Suck Less Algorithm, part 2

Stop hoping you’ll magically get better. The Suck Less Algorithm is a methodical loop for PRS shooters: expose weaknesses, build skills with intent, measure honestly, adapt when stuck, diagnose mistakes, listen to feedback, and repeat at a higher standard. No shortcuts. Just structured improvement.

The Suck Less Algorithm, part 1.

PRS improvement isn’t about shooting more—it’s about shooting smarter. The Suck Less Algorithm applies continuous improvement thinking to precision rifle shooting: expose weaknesses, practice with intent, measure results, adapt, analyze mistakes, seek feedback, and repeat while raising standards. Close the loop. Suck less every cycle.
